Meet Crystal: The Story Behind ANIMA
There was a time when I felt like I was carrying the weight of everything.
Motherhood. Marriage. Work. Bills. Responsibilities. Dreams that felt too big and days that felt too short.
Like so many women, I spent years pouring into everyone around me while slowly forgetting what it felt like to pour into myself.
Life taught me resilience. It taught me how to keep moving forward even when things felt uncertain. It taught me how to show up for my family, my clients, and the people I love. But somewhere along the way, I realized that constantly giving without receiving leaves a part of you depleted.
Long before ANIMA existed, I began creating simple skincare rituals at home. One of my first creations was a silk skin scrub made with jojoba oil and vitamin E. It wasn't part of a business plan. It was simply something made with care. I shared it with friends and family, selling a jar here and there, never imagining it would become the foundation for something much greater.
As I became a licensed esthetician, I witnessed something over and over again. So many people were struggling with skin that felt irritated, overwhelmed, and unsupported. They were being told they needed more products, more treatments, and more complicated routines.
But what I saw was something different.
I saw skin asking for gentleness.
I saw skin asking for nourishment.
I saw skin asking to feel safe.
And in many ways, I think women are asking for the same thing.
ANIMA was born from that realization.
The name ANIMA means soul, breath, and life force. It represents the connection between caring for our skin and caring for ourselves. It is a reminder that beauty is not about perfection. It is about presence. It is about creating small rituals that help us return to ourselves, even on the busiest days.
Every product I create is rooted in that belief. Thoughtfully selected botanicals. Gentle formulations. Intentional rituals. Not because skincare should be complicated, but because it should feel comforting.
ANIMA is more than a skincare brand.
It is a reflection of my journey.
A journey through motherhood, growth, healing, setbacks, hope, and the belief that even in the middle of life's chaos, we deserve moments that belong entirely to us.
